Change your life. Take your time. Take the long way.

It's very important to have lots of moments in life where you have time to just sit and ponder. I think this is what holidays do, they make us feel like we have time and it's at these moments that we feel our big, ambitious life goals are closest to the surface.
It shouldn't have to take a trip overseas to create this feeling - you can create your own sanctuary (with a  little help from me), no matter how small and simple, within your own outdoor space.

If you're wanting a sanctuary of your own, let's grab a coffee

By the way, the headline of this blog is taken from the brilliant documentary Long Way Round with Charley Boorman and Ewan Mcgregor (unfortunately, no relation to me). It's a great reminder to step off the merry-go-round and do something completely different and possibly a little crazy.

My partner Amanda and Jaime (from the fabulous La Placeta in Portugos, southern Spain) quietly sitting, looking over the many mountains  and out towards the coast of North Africa as part of our trek from Portugos to Trevelez.
